The 3rd 420th Annual Portland Comedy Challenge

Musty's Running Another Competition?
Yep, Musty's at it again. I kinda have to do another competition. The amateur comics in Portland are literally coming outta the woodwork. I have never seen so many funny youngsters in my life. This year is loaded with acts of all types trying to win the big Five-Hundred Dollar First Prize. I hope everyone enjoys this year's Challenge. Musty puts his heart and soul into it, so you better be fockin grateful. With that said, "Let the games begin!!"

Much thanks and appreciation goes out to the club owners (Dave - Roscoes, Luke & Nikki - The Boiler Room, Lori & Denny - Shanahans, and Tori - The Fireside Coffee Lodge) for giving us their clubs, time, drinks, gift certificates, and most importantly.... money for the Challange. Big thanks also goes out to Jay @ Vancouver Pipe & Tobacco and Mary Jane @ Mary Jane's House of Glass for their generous donations of functional glass art. Musty loves you all !!!

THE FINALISTS

  Week # 4 Finals
Night # 4 - Roscoes

Wow !! Whatta night !! It's been a long haul but tonight was the FINAL night of The Challenge. The crowd filled in until the room was almost completely full. The Rookies all looked nervous, pacing outside trying to remember their jokes. For a couple of them tonight, a good set would make a big difference in their final positions.

Musty went up and started the show with the usual announcements and explaining of the rules. Josh Lay and Keith Wallan then did an excellant job of warming up the audience. It was then time for the Finalists to take the stage. Everyone turned in good sets and received the Encore point. Afterwards, Lonnie Bruhn and Ron Osborne did Headline sets while Musty added up the final tallys.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE........For the first time ever we have Co-Champions. For all the results look below and then to the left.

Musty would like to thank all of the amateur comics that competed in this year's challenge. It has been my honor running the contest. See ya all next year............Musty
